Mr Wany was born in Brindisi in 1978 and began writing when he was just 12. He graduated from Art School and continued his studies in Rome at the International School of Comics. In 2000 he moved to Bologna, where he worked as art director for one of the largest publishers of Japanese cartoons and comics until 2007.
During a 22 year period of focused work he realized graffiti art work and projects for several large companies including Casio G Shock, Nike, Adidas, Coca Cola, D&G, Red Bull, Timberland, Volkswagen, MTV, Mediaset, Avis, Toei Animation Japan, Reebok, Eastpack, Rai Sat Smash Sky, Vibram. In 2005, his fame exploded internationally and he was invited to numerous events and exhibitions in England, France, Croatia, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Spain, Greece, Bosnia, Svezia, Denmark, Switzerland, Brazil, Argentina, New Zealand, Ecuador, Malesya, Russia and USA. He was featured in the “Street Art Sweet Art” exhibition staged by the Vittorio Sgarbi and Alessandro Riva, at the PAC in Milan.
He is in the process of realising pieces at the MAC (Museum of Contemporary Art) in San Paulo in Brazil and also in major European capitals like London or Paris. In 2007 he signed a contract with a gallery in Milan that brought him to live in the city and he has also now begun to work independently with galleries and museums around the world. After two very successful solo shows and numerous high-profile international group in 2012 he was invited by the art critic Vittorio Sgarbi to exhibit at the 54 th Venice Biennale.
